Hotel Bowler
Bowler, WI
In 1907, August Kroll built the Hotel Bowler which included a hall. The hotel was sold to Fren Kroening when it was completed. The 1913 Shawano County plat book lists Fred Kroening as the proprietor of the hotel. The hotel was built ion the north side of Main Street on lots 7 and 8 between Park and Pine Streets and was directly across the street from the Bowler Livery barn. The hotel burned and was razed but we are unsure of the date. Later the VFW built their hall on the location which is now a private residence.
